Yes a few times must be a cat,on holiday in Ireland first time I was 5 and was bathing in rock pools and some sort of leeches stuck all over me I was screaming mum was trying to get them off and a man picked me up ran to the sea with me held me under the waves and they came off, so some man who we now know was a doctor on holiday from Scotland in 1962 saved my life they were some kind of poisonous leach things. Second time got an electric shock as some stupid workman had gone through main wire so when I put my hand on the pipe it gave a shock up my arm the reason it didn't kill me was I was on steps with rubber on the bottom. Third time May 2005 when I became ill was rushed into hospital tested for drugs and alcohol cause of my symptoms then slipped into a coma was even given the last rites and my family was told IF I came out of it (doubtful) I'd have severe brain damage only for a young doctor being interested suggested my electrolytes be tested I would have died, luckily I was then given the correct treatment, apparently you die from this and only discovered what it is when your dead.
This is all true and twice was saved by chance by some very smart doctors. Lucky me.

Yes. On the 21st of July, 1974 , a team of I R A gun men managed to slam 5 rpg7 anti tank rockets into the bunker I was in, in Crossmaglen, South Armagh.I was convinced that the end of the world had arrived, and the end of me.Thank goodness the concrete was thick enough to absorb the blast.I was at the time serving with 7th parachute regiment as a rifleman. The bangs were the loudest and most frightening sounds I have ever heard. I resigned myself to dying there and then.

31year's ago i was run over by a taxi, it was christmas eve, luckily for me i was pissed out my brains so ididn't feel the impact of the car or the landing face first in the road, which broke both my jaw bones, all my front teeth, my nose and cheek bone!
A police man saved my life that evening as my mate's were too busy beating up the taxi driver! Apparantly i was chocking to death on my own blood. tell you what, chritmas day was one i'll remember for ever! i looked like the elephant man! ouch.......

I fell into a swimming pool when I was about 18 months old. Apparently my dad saw me topple in but was in shock, bless him, and just tapped my mum on the shoulder and pointed at the pool. She ran over and dived in and got me out. I've always had a bit of a phobia about water since, even though I was so young at the time.

Yes when I was a baby. I stopped breathing when I was 30 minutes old. I reckon I tried to change my mind about the whole gig but those big men in white coats wouldn't let me.

Yeah. I swallowed a tea bag (on purpose) and it got lodged in my throat and I almost suffocated. What an embarrassing way to die. The worst thing is, it wasn't even when I was a kid. I was 19.

I've had a few scary moments at different times but I don't know if I was near death.Hopefully not. There was a boy at my junior school 65 years ago whose name was Dare De'ath which I always thought very strange, his parents kept a pub.

Coupla times. My favourite was when a guy held a gun against my head and pulled the trigger - he missed - nerves I guess.
He won't be mugging anyone else in his life, as he can no longer walk after what I did to him.
