ok. is it werid that i don't use tampons. cause its like i'm afraid of them. i'm just like..."i have to put that where!! ouch" so i feel stupid for not using them cause they are so much easier. but i'm too afraid. is that gay? like my friend uses them all the time and i just don't think i can do it. but i don't wanna be like 30 and still not using them.

Its normal to be nervous or afraid of trying it out.
It took me forever to put my first tampon in.
After that, I'd rather wear tampons than pads any day.
You should give it a try. Get the slenderest lightest absorbency plastic applicator tampon and read the instructions. It WILL take a while, just relax when you do it. Put vaseline or KY jelly on the tip to help it go in.
You really should try it because you must use a tampon when you want to go into the water on your period. Plus it is easier to use when you do sports.

Who says you HAVE to use them? There are plenty of grown women walking around who don't. There's no rule, it's just what you're comfortable with. If you don't want to use tampons, then don't. It might be easier after you've been having sex for a while. Until then, just use pads... it's really no big deal. And don't worry so much what your friends are doing, since every woman is different. There's nothing weird about you!

It's not weird to be not using tampons if you are not comfortable with it. Furthermore, you can only wear tampons for a max of 8 hours otherwise you'll risk getting toxic shock syndrome (TSS) which could lead to death.
It's that time of the month, you should try to make yourself as comfortable as possible. If you don't like the idea of sticking a tampon in, then use the good old sanitary pad.

That is no problem. I don't ever use them either (dont let the name fool you, im a girl). I have heard some bad stories about them, that im afraid too. Even though i know there is nothing to be afraid of. But that is your choice, it is nobody else's business on what you use during your period. And that is not gay, so dont worry! Good luck!

Its not gay, and you shouldn't have to feel rushed about tampons. They don't hurt if you put them in correctly, just take your time and whenever you're ready to wear one follow the directions

Just give them try. Do your best you can. Don't give up. You going need it if you're on period. I know it is hard. I had done it a while ago. I get use them from now. All girls have same problems. They will learn more after they'll get use of it.

not weird at all! I was afraid of them too until I realized that once I got used to them, it was like not having anything. with pads, I never felt dry! Tampons are cleaner too. You take them out and flush them instead of having to wrap in toilet paper and whatnot.
