no one in your household uses your computer for that either?

Hi~I learned that it's possible to get on almost anything. For one thing, I have Norton 360 & it's been wonderful. If I click on a Website that looks perfectly innocent, it instantly alerts me of danger. I've been through the "unsubscribe" thing in the past, (often they don't even give you a choice), & even when they do, no one pays attention. I'd then forward the thing to: SPAM@UCE.GOV. Would you care for a laugh? I don't click on people's names that I don't recognize, & one time I saw "somebody," (I've no idea why I didn't report!) I typed that I'd reported them! Thank goodness the person who sent it, it was a user whose name I didn't recognize, emailed me back & inutuion told me to pick it up. She asked why I'd reported her, & we got it all taken care of.
I saw some other of your questions here & as I recall, perhaps I can answer them all at once. I do NOT click on links from users, except for those that I totally trust. Yes, you can get a VIRUS from a user. I haven't, but some friends alerted me to one some time ago.
My feeling is that I may have missed something if I don't click on the link, but I can't miss what I haven't seen, & as my mum used to say, "Better to be safe than sorry."
As to the porno thing, if they don't take you off their list, try the email address I gave you. (Where do you live? This is a U.S. service.)
Depending on where you live, you can also register ALL your phones on the "Do not call registry." I'm not on dial-up, but one of my lines is connected to my server. This should cover phone calls, faxes & Internet.
Good luck!

With McAfee SiteAdvisor you can visually see as to what other websites that they in turn send information too.

Also: It will warn you if the web page to which you are viewing is safe or not.

If your email ever got sent or used to any kind of questionable websites, you'll get spam. And spam you are getting. Switch to Gmail. It has a great spam filter on it.

Most porn web sites send their messages out randomly until they get an e-mail saying to take that address off their list.

Indeed.

Some websites give out your name when you visit them, even to Pornography Websites.

Especially when you have a Tracking Cookie, Trojan Horse or Keylogger on your computer.

They will track your email down and they will email you :(
