My wife and I are writers. She is about 2/3's into her latest novel based on her life. I'm in it, our neighbors, friends and family, etc. She is the protagonist and she hates the way her husband screws so she has sex with the mailman. Then she has sex with the neighbor. Then with her husbands best friend. All of these characters are people we know. i asked if there was any fact in fiction and she said it was poetic license. Then one day she turns down my advances by saying, "I've had enough of your little prick, Frank." Then she writes her narrator saying the same thing to her husband the next day and the internal monologue says: "I'm getting bored with him. I'll have sex with his boss tomorrow." Should I be worried about this?

Get a copy of that transcript and bring it to a lawyer, she is done with you when she starts to contemplate others. And may have acted upon it. The writing will show how abusive she is towards you, that's right she is abusive from what little you let us read.

Did she include your response in the novel as well? She may have been doing some research!
I've heard of method acting and actors allowing the character to take over, but I don't believe it happens that often with writers. I know a lot of them, and we may become surly, non-communicative and very hard to live with, but I don't know of any who have gone to such lengths.
I'd not only be worried, I'd start packing. Let her write that in!!!

Sounds like she has a very vivid imagination. However, if she's treating/reacting to you differently, then I expect she's trying to tell you something. I strongly suggest you LISTEN. You may also begin to seek the advice of a good divorce attny. That too may be in the not too distant future.
I hope you have no children. Best Wishes!

LOL!!!!! wow, when does this hit the shelves? no, seriously it sounds like your wife is really acting out her secret fantasies...i dunno if that's fact or fiction. if you trust your wife, then i wouldn't be worried, but if you are in doubt, then i probably would worry. stop and ask her what's the meaning of all this? is she going through a midlife crisis or something? ASK HER!
