The Philadelphia Eagles were may be in one of those throw back days and to wear the uniforms for it when the NFL would cal for one at a certain ballpark during the season.

Another example of why women shouldn't be allowed to ask questions or make comments about football. Throwback jerseys started being utilized almost 15 years ago and Philadelphia isn't the only team to sport them.
Edit: Hey genius below me, there are plenty of teams that wear them and you sure have a lot of confidence for being wrong. The jersey really didn't have anything do with the Frankford Yellow Jackets (the original team that went bankrupt), it's the first jersey the Eagles wore. You're an idiot and I stand by my original answer.

Another reason morons shouldn't be allowed to answer questions, just above me, most teams AREN'T wearing "throwback" jerseys, and when they do they don't wear them to PREVIOUS TEAMS. Those throwback are to honor the OLD team, prior to becoming the Eagles, and the Eagles old-school jerseys AREN'T those ugly yellow and baby-blue things. Oh and if people can't ask questions how would they learn anything? I don't care if you could have found out in a pre-game show, not everyone watches them.

I noticed that a lot of team this week were wearing their old school jerseys. I'm watching the Redskins/Giants game right now and Washington is wearing their old jerseys. The Eagles probably were too.
