I'm trying to find a job in the secretarial/receptionist field. Where are the best places to look? I've been to Yahoo! HotJobs, CareerBuilders, and Monster but I never seem to have much luck with those I guess because of the high volume of applicants. Are those the best places to look or are there others?

Look in the local paper for agencies that supply companies jobs for temporary placements, then when they use you , and if they like you , they will come to you again! I think that is the best way to do it. Then you have the experience behind you and they know your work!

I've always found craigslist worked well because they extend pretty much anywhere and a lot of offices need receptionist/ clerical asistants

Try Craig's List Houston. I've had more people responding on that site! Or you can try a temp agency.

Temp agencies are best. Look in the Yellow pages for names of agencies in Houston.
