I have this clinical instructor who got mad of me because i wrote in our feedback diary my negative observations about her. She want's me to be her instructor again but i was able to escape from it. too bad she cant take her revenge.

But now, she has been talking with other students and instructors and spreading vindictive traits about me.

Can I sue her? so she will stop and be placed in jail?

She will not be placed in jail.

If you can prove the things she said are objectively false -- and not just her opinion -- then you can sue for defamation.

If you can prove the things she said are private facts that you have taken steps to prevent others from finding out about -- ehn you can sue her for public disclosure of private facts.

But you would be getting money damages, and possibly a court order telling her to stop -- she would not go to jail.

you can sue her for libel or slander. but one is for verbal things and the other is for things in writing. im pretty sure slander is the in print one. its has a statue of limitations on it so you need to look into that. i think its like 1 year and a half. you need witness and it has to be proven to be damaging to your career or reputation.
