with no heavy lifting of course. i'm talking about sweeping the floors. it has to be done. my husband helps alittle but not with the whole house cleaning. my daughter is a car rider for school and i have been taking her and i need to know if it will be fine as long as it is only 5 minutes away. i get my staples removed wednesday and had the c-section done on the 18.

I had one with my son, and I felt fine 3 days later. i think the women who drag this out for months is ridiculous! I understand their are exceptions and things go wrong from time to time, but I loved having a c-section and am having one with this baby as well. I am a dance teacher and I was back teaching a week later. Hopefully the next will be the same. Just get up and walk as soon as possible, the first two days are very uncomfortable, but it will pass quick if you get out of bed and deal with it.

I think when you are a mom of multiple children you don't have the luxury of long recovery time - csection or not! My doctor has always indicated to me that lots of activity is likely not going to do anything damaging but may make the bleeding last a little longer.

I was up and around about 2 days after getting home from the hospital with my 2 sections. In terms of housework, I'd only do the necessary (clean up after dirty spills, messes, etc.).

I was up and going 3 days after. It was kinda painful though and made me bleed so I would say about a week or two should be fine for house work. And a few days before driving and carrying little baby around.
Have fun with your little one, its the most awesome experience!!
