They already have enough meaty food in their diet with what you are giving them, which can often lead to constipation. Once a week, try dropping in a thin slice of cucumber. Most fish (except maybe Bettas and Tetras) will love the cucumber and can be observed skimming small bits off of it. My Loaches and Otos love it. Email me if you have any questions.

Depending on the size of your fish there are several options. You can explore live food, frozen foods, and freeze dried food. Most tropical fish will eat brine shrimp which you can raise live or buy frozen. Dried blood worms are also good for most sizes of fish. The best idea is to speak with your local dealer about the type of fish you have, they will be able to point you in the right direction.

Bettas are tropical, so it's alright, but they are carnivorous and need food specifically for Bettas, because they need the nutrients and proteins found in meat more than anything, and most tropical fish food is plant based. The tropical fish food wont hurt them but get some Betta food soon. Some live blood worms or mosquito larvae is very nutritious for them too, and they like chasing them.

RE:
What can tropical fish eat other than fish food?
I want my fish to have a good solid diet and they already eat bloodworms, tubifex worms, and normal fish food, what can they eat other than those!?!?! They won't eat lettuce, or pees.

I don't know what type of fish you have though there are several options of great food for most fish. Zuchini if the skin is cut through, peas, par boiled brocholi stems with the skin removed, shrimp, mussels, squid, non-oily fish (preferable feed saltwater fish to freshwater fish and visa versa), insects like crickets, grasshoppers, bees, spiders, earthworms, microworms, beef or turkey heart, small quantities of par boiled pork liver, spirulina algae, other forms of algae and sea weed that can be bought at the grocery store in the sushi section or fresh at most asian markets. My fish are hit or miss on romaine lettuce and spinach though give the peas another try because all of my fish love them. Buy frozen peas, take a handful and run them under water for just a few seconds, piece the skin of the pea with your thumb nail and squeeze the pea. For smaller fish squoosh one of these pea halfs and soon they'll start eating them. For larger fish you can just defrost and throw them into the aquarium. I hope these ideas help.

that's a good diet. most fish in america end up living off of flake food alone anyway. I don't know what else you can give them. they seem to have a pretty solid diet as is. if you have any carnivorous fish, you could raise sea monkeys in a seperate tank and feed the adults to them (sea monkeys are only brine shrimp that grow to about 1/2 an inch.).
