My boss' daughter is turning 18 and going away to college. I've decided that since she's been so good to my family I'd like to get her some gifts. Please keep in mind that she's such a sweet girl. She's helped me take care of my daughter, my pets and myself. Also keep in mind that my friend works at Juicy Couture and she's extended her employee discount to me, so these presents are still pricey but they cost a lot less.

Are these gifts suitable for an 18yr old who's going away to college?

Yes, I know her sizes and her style. I've asked her if there's something she'd like and she said that she's already set on school stuff and that I don't have to get her anything, but seeing as that's her favorite store and I get a discount...
And please try not to be rude!

I'm 18 and at college, and I'll give you a definitely, and a why not? :)

Waking up in the morning is sometimes hard, and to get going during the day, college students often wake up, throw on some clothes, and give little to no attention to accessories. Providing her with something cute, and easy to add to an outfit may give the outfit that extra little push to be amazing.

Also, keep in mind that cute outfits like sweats, terry cloth, velor, etc. tend to be REALLY useful for girls in college! Sometimes I see girls wearing Juicy matching tops and bottoms, and they look nice and not too bum-y, and comfortable.

The earrings might be a bit too girlish. But that is strictly my taste.

I absolutely adore the rings.

I cannot give comment on the shoes, because fashion and taste in shoes is very personal.

Do you know her size when it comes to the rings and shoes? If not and if you do not know how to find out, than the earrings might be best.

Yes, absolutely. If you're confident that you know her taste and size, then go for it. It's a very sweet and thoughtful thing to do. You're a kind person.

They're okay, but why not get her something more useful? She's going away to college, she'll need lots of things besides expensive shoes and jewelry.

I think it's a bit much you should go with the shoes and that's it if you plan on getting all three that's going a bit over the edge.
