"mr.d..." is right, but much too mild. "dragongmi" is much closer to what is deserved by those idiots who have the audacity to "stand and deliver" to the unfortunate, impresionable youths who are required to sit in their classrooms. And to the three unfortunate, impressionable youths who have already been infected, listen; IT IS NOT TOO LATE, YOU CAN STILL BE SAVED. 0/1 = 0, PERIOD! and 1/0 IS NOT DEFINED, PERIOD!

Any mathematical question which tempts you to use the word "infinity" should not be regarded as an open invitation to wax philosophically (and stupidly) about things which you don't understand. Until you have taken at least three semesters of calculus, you should regard the word "infinity" as a naughty word which should not be used by neophytes.

infinity means that there are an infinite amount of answers.

let's use what you learned. 0/1=infinity. if i change the 1 to any number positive, negative, fraction, decimal, irrational, the answer is still 0. So there isn't just one solution to that problem hence infinite amount of answer

no infinity isn't a number. it is the idea that numbers never have an end and can go on forever. B/c this is true. u can always add one more to a number, so infinity simply means to go on forever.
