Yes, I live in the Poconos. I live in Tannersville- 5 minutes away from The Crossings Premium Outlets and Camelback ski resort. I used to live in East Stroudsburg and went to high school there. So I have lived in the Poconos for more than 15 years. I was born and grew up in Long Island NY. It was a big change coming from Long Island to the Poconos because it is much more remote here -it takes a drive to get to any food store- when I use to walk when I lived in NY. But I love it here- it is beautiful year round and the people are very nice. I live in a great neighborhood and can leave the doors unlocked at night if I wanted to ( but I don't) It is a great place to visit- there are many things to see and do. My favorite thing to do here is SKI!!!! Here is a link for things to do in the area.

Someone has,yes. I can't imagine it's desolate of population or that no explorer has ever ventured there.
