i think every single song has a lotta depth.. personal favourites wud prolly hav to be: one, walk on, stay and acrobat... most of his songs are said to be influenced by the relationship he used to have with his father. I find them very inspirational, and i can always find myself relating to them.Theyy have a very uplifting element in them..apart frm that i cant understand why every1 keeps bashing on him... fact is he's done more to cure poverty and help underdeveloped country than any two bit jerk off that writes songs about changing the world.. the only difference is bono is the only person that gets off his A** and does something about it

All of his songwriting revolve around something personal and deep to him. Their first album, "Boy" had songs that were about growing up and making the transition from boyhood to manhood, "October" was about God and religion, "War" was about, obviously, war and politics, and so forth. Other songs are about love, some are about his mother who died when he was 14, and his father who died a few years ago, and the up-and-down relationship he had with him. And of course, he writes songs about bettering the world, religion, and social issues. People may hate him because he can be a little preachy about saving the world, but he's done more than any of those haters will ever do in their lifetime.

I think he's a great lyricist. He's inspired, honest, fluent and intellegent.

I personally think he great,when he was younger he wrote lyrics that were beyond his years and hes still doing great work.

i think hes very good and quite deep. i think a lot of his songs deleibratley hav two meanings i.e every one says "with or without you" is about love but i think its about god
