15 of the 19 hijackers on September 11th where from Saudi Arabia, the others were from Egypt and Kuwait. What are we doing to curb the threat that Islamic radicals from these countries represent?

How do you think our presence in Iraq will help?

No, our presence in Iraq will not help.

Even it it hasn't made things worse -- by increasing regional hatred of the US -- at best it will have no effect.

And I'm not concerned -- it's a guarantee that the US will be attacked again -- as we have every 8~9 years for the past many decades. Being concerned doesn't change reality.

Whether the terrorists come from Saudi Arabia or not doesn't change the equation -- nor should it change what we do to try and prevent it.

I agree with TruthSeeker. Our presence in Iraq has definitely made the terrorist situation worse. Of course, we are vulnerable to another attack, and hopefully, out seaports, airports, and other tempting targets are better protected now. It doesn't matter much where terrorists come from...what matters is what action they take against us. Islamic radicals live in many different countries...it's a religion that produces some very evil zealots! They are increasing and hate us more than they did before 9/11.

out presence in Iraq will not help anything. It has nothing to do with a "Global War on Terror" that Bush said he would fight. If anything it has given us more terrorists as it has pushed those that were borderline, "over the fence" so to speak into becoming either terrorists or sympathetic with the terrorists.

It is a more real threat that Saudis - some of them Bush family friends - could attack us than there is the Iraqis.
Bin Laden, whose family has Texas oil connections, is a Saudi.

Absolutely not, in fact I think it's exasperating the situation.

Strange, but the three countries you mention are all considered our allies. Go figure....

And we should have learned from history( the past few decades), what seems like sound foreign policy at the time may bite us in the *** a few decades later.
