Christa McAuliffe was the first US private citizen that NASA chose, and look what happened to her. The Russians will sell rides and station stays for $10-$20 million USD. Bert Rutan and Richard Branson have Virgin Space which will sell 15 minute rides for $200K USD.

Confusing instinct and desire is a great problem for our species.
There is no more desire to return to space than there is for a meteor to desire crashing into the planet.
Thought though is a great way to avoid living life.

At the least to get off earth when every thing has been used up..you know, No more drinkable water and the rest.
