If you were found to be guilty on any of the counts that arose from their charges, then you cannot sue them.

If the 37 days was pretrial because you were denied bail (or couldn't afford it) -- and you were found not guilty of all charges -- then you can only sue them if they acted in bad faith -- and you would need to prove that they engaged in malicious prosecution without any good faith basis for the claim -- that would be brought in civil court, but only if you were found not guilty of all charges.

As for the perjury -- that can be brought by the prosecutor, but will generally only be considered if you were found not guilty of all charges -- otherwise, you can use the evidence you have of their false statements in civil court (above).

No. It was not false imprisonment. The law did not wrongly accuse you, your friends wrongly framed you. If you have a court date coming up, take that date to use the evidence you have to show that they are lying.

If it can be proved they lied then they should be charged. If you were convicted on other similar charges then I think you cannot sue. Concentrate on keeping out of trouble.
