dont worry about the memory on the card just worry about the gpu speed ... if u plan on sli later then get a sli ready card .. sli requires a motherboard that supports it and vista doesnt support sli yet from what i understand ... anyway ... an nvidia 8800gts is about the best bang for the buck imo ..

The 8800GTS 640mb is right for you:

If you want great performance, consider the factory overclocked version:

If you want a bargain, consider this:

ALL those cards are SLI ready. BUT SLI should only be a consideration if you have an SLI capable motherboard. The big 640mb onboard memory should be great for demanding games like Oblivion and Crysis.

Just in case SLI becomes a future project of yours:

Do you have have 2 slots to allow SLI? If not, why bother with SLI-ready?

And why do you think you need more than 512MB on the video card? Do you expect to run at 1600x1200 or higher res with maximum anti-aliasing and more? Do you even have enough CPU power to do that?

it really depends if you have an agp or pci-e expansion slot but if you have pci-e i would research ati and nvidia's websites i would recommend a radeon 4560 or up but the 4870 x2 saffire would definitely do what you want it to it's amazing can't wit to get mine.
