I would think, yes, but only when he wanted too. Because heaven would be kinda miserable if he had to listen to screams all day!

Who wants anything to do with such a heartless God? Only the mind of man would create such a beast. God is Love and forgiveness. Read The Crucifixion What Really Happened and see what is the truth. "You do not need to seek forgiveness, for you are not condemned, you do not need to be saved for you can never be lost; you do not need to seek eternal life for that is what you are." If I, as a father could not bear to see my daughtrer suffer no matter what she did,do i have more compassion and love than God? How can that be?

God's power is absolute. He can hear every thing every where all the time. Even the cry of people in hell.
When thinking of power one might thing of nuclear power as extraordinary. How much power in the sun? Add to this the power in the billion of stars in the universe. Notice that God created it all with his power. And hell is far more scorching than the heart of the sun!

Isn't God supposed to be omniscient? What does that mean? And what about the bit where God is infinitely forgiving? And loving, and caring?

Think of it this way. My devout Christian and Muslim friends who have denied themselves all worldly pleasures must surely be rewarded in the Afterlife in Paradise. I and all of my ilk will be in Hell, to be tortured exquisitely -- it's a kind of "rendition" you see; not to get information from us but just for our blood-curdling screams. Surely the whole point of this arrangement is for my friends in Paradise to enjoy hearing our screams, while we down there suffering endless pulling of our nails, flaying of our skins, etc. must also endure the PA system beamed from above with our Paradise friends laughing and shouting, "We told you so!!". Now, most of Paradise is a benign, placid and nondescript abode, except for an enclosure that the rewardees there enter to see and hear the screams from Hell, and to yell "Serve you right, we warned you, etc." and enjoy the video feeds that provide graphic accompaniment to the screams. Membership of Paradise has its privileges.

hell doesnt exist, its a scare tactic and nothing more. a truly benevolent deity would not send his children to eternal torture.
