Any hospital can provide you with a standard SOP for infection control for any disease. Surprisingly enough, the movies do overexagerate the instant-killer-plague effects you may have seen on tv from ebola. The fact that ebola is a quick-killer in many cases, however, is a positive effect of the virus in that it's more difficult to spread if the hosts are unable to reach other potential carriers.
One basic precaution is to NEVER TOUCH a person with open sores or bleeding from any orafice. Use gloves and protective clothing when available or call for medical help immediately. Mention that it is a possible infection-control issue so that the proper authorities can take action and contain the outbreak as soon as possible. Keep the infected person isolated until the medics arrive. Do not attempt to move them or take them to a hospital. Let the medical professionals do their job and you shouldn't have to worry. Even if you had made contact with an infected animal or person, there's a good chance you'd live with proper and prompt medical treatment.

Do not go to Africa. If Ebola ever makes it out of Africa, and it might, you would have to avoid contact with infected blood. Other than that the advice is about the same as what to do during any epidemic, avoid crowds.

Stay out of Zaire for a start!
There are no vaccines that I'm aware of and all viruses are untreatable - even the common cold.

Wear protective clothing, a protective mask... Basically wear a special suit that covers your whole body. Sterilize everything, don't consume/drink/inhale anything either.
