I have found this site, and some things about this organization.
I know that the world is round. Normaly, you have to be a total idiot to think the world is flat!
Do you think the world is flat or round?

What am I on about? I am saying that some people still believe that the world is flat. And I am saying that how could day believe in a such thing.

Fact: the flat earth society exists.
Fact: idiots exist.
Fact : the earth is round.
conjecture: Flat earth society members are probably NOT idiots.
Fact: many people leave money to the Flat Earth Society in their wills so as to annoy their relatives, who would otherwise recieve this money.
Hypothesis: the flat earth society exists not to promote the beliefs that their members profess, but to recieve money from the wills of persons wishing to annoy their beneficiaries.

A couple of things:
Yes, the Flat Earth Society actually exists.
Yes, there are in fact people in the world who think the planet is flat. For whatever reason, they actually exist.
No, you won't find very many of them in the Flat Earth Society. The site, and the Society, are largely poking fun at certain anti-science Luddite types. Types which unfortunately are seen far too commonly here on Y!A

It's round...if it wasn't then when a boat sailed to the horizon it would just fall off but it doesn't - it can come back around. You can sail around the world.
This theory came from olden times when people thought the horizon was where the planet ended.

personally I know the earth is round, you just have to have a look at satelite pictures.

actually the earth is an oblate spheroid which is a really big word that means round.

Are they still around? Still, it doesn't surprise me. There are people that are convinced that mankind evolved from one bloke called Adam and there are others that believe men have walked on the moon.....
Let them think what they want. As long as they don't try to push their bullsh1t down my throat I can live with it.
