Stay in the airpot and get on a plane to Northampton, MA or San Fransisco, CA.
Georgia, and the deep south might not be where you really want to be as they can be very homophobic.

Okay, I'm going to have to agree with ibrahim.
I live in the south and when I visted Northampton, I was very surprised to see several lesbians walking down the street, holding hands, kissing, etc. They obviously felt comfortable enough and safe enough to show their affection in public. I can only recall seeing this once here in the south.
