Most modern engines are designed to take 5W30 oil. The only reason to go with 10W30 is if you live in Arizona, Southern Florida or anywhere else where it stays hot year-round.
As far as brands, it doesn't matter, go with whatever brand you like. Many people have their own preference on brand, but they all meet certain specifications. Any oil you buy today is going to exceed the standards that were in place in '93, so no worries there.
If you change the oil regularly, no need to spend the extra money for high mileage engine oil, it's just a gimmick to remove more money from your wallet. It will not fix any damage from past negligence, and will not prevent wear any more than any other oil on the market.

Check your oil. It could be low, and you never want to use your car with a low amount of oil. You see, on cars older like these, the lights will come on and off. When your car's engine accelerates, it builds up enough oil pressure in your engine to circulate the oil to provide enough circulation. When you stop accelerating, the oil pressure goes back down and your oil stops circulating as much, so your car's computer indicates you are low on oil. You are probably only low a little bit, probably about a quart, so add o 5w-30. If your oil level is normal, then take your car to a mechanic.
