This looks like a typical homework problem. You need to master your lessons - you will NOT pass the final exam without mastering the lesson

Now look at the problem and you will see it is very easy. You are merely going to first remove the parenthesis and then add like terms. The first step rearranges the items like this:

x^2 - 11x + 4 +2x^2- 2x +6 - x^2 -6x + 5

you should first understand what I did above - make sure you understand the above as this is the critical part.

Now add like terms and you get

2x^2 - 19x + 15

Perform the indicated operations: (x2 – 11x + 4) – (-2x2 + 2x – 6) – (x2 + 6x – 5):

Let's combine like terms:

2x^2 - 19x + 15

x ² - 11 x + 4
2 x ² - 2 x + 6
- x ² - 6x + 5

2 x ² - 19 x + 15

First, distribute the negative signes in front of the 2nd & 3rd sets.

(x^2-11x+4) + (2x^2-2x+6) + (-x^2-6x+5)

Now remove the parenthesis and combine like variables (ie. only add x^2's together and only add x's together.)

2x^2 -19x +15 That is your anser.

uh, maybe you actually need help.....for those of you who who think he's just cheating...

what you would do is do the order of operations (please excuse my dear aunt sally=parenthases, exponents, multiplication, division, addition, subtraction)

you also forget to tell us the x-value, so ill assume its just 1

so for the first step you would get (1-11+4) - (4+2-6) - (1+6-5)
then you would do all of the addition/subtraction inside the parenthases (-6)-(0)-(2)
then you would just finish it... the answer would be -8

That's easy.

2x^2 - 19x +15

But like the guy above me said, do your own homework.

First I understand 2x, as 2y or 2n, and 2x2... but will you please tell me what x2 means? TS.

Do your own freaking homework. Atleast ask how I can do this, not get a monkey to do it for you.
