Please note that only honeybees die after they sting. The reason why they die is because their sting is attached to their abdomen. When they insert their "weapon" into someone's flesh, part of their abdomen, without which they cannot survive, will remain behind.

When a bee stings you, the stinger gets stuck in your skin. When the bee flies away, it stinger is ripped out of its abdomen and it dies within minutes.

the bee dies because the stinger is stuck in the person and the stinger is ripped out of the bee's back. but some bees such as wasps(yellow jackets to you yanks) dont have a curled end so they can sting you and not die

Because when it stings someone the stinger is left in the victim and so part of its innards are ripped out and left with the stinger.

They are disembowelled when they try to extract their stinger. They have tiny barbs that prevent a smooth extraction. This has been lost in many other hymenoptera and members of the same genus. What i can't figure out is why, evolutionarily, this hasn't been lost in those that still posess it. I don't see how disembowelment can increase fdecundity.
