I am upset with a family member and don't want the bad mood to continue, so I was wondering if anyone is skilled in cognitive behavior and if so, how to dissolve my negative feelings right now.

I don't know. I think I'd need to know which emotion. A general fix is to only use positive descriptive words and no negative judgmental one. Ideas can't overcome emotions, but word choice can. I don't know how many people know that, but it changed my life. Flip. Dark to light, down to up, etc. Oh, and email me. I have some good websites that make it easy.
