I don't believe everyone thinks they're together, but there are always exceptions and there will always be people thinking gays are associated with different groups.

because it's easier to discredit the whole group if you can tarnish them with the acts of the few.

Ironically, this is usually done by people who claim to follow a path in which dishonesty is frowned upon.

Because most gay rights groups supported NAMBLA until they came under fire for it. I doubt people have forgotten that.

Because people tend to form opinions before they gather all the facts. Especially when their superficial thinking fits the bigoted opinion they have already formed. "My mind is made up. do not confuse me with facts."

1)because in cities like NYC and San Fran the gay activists allow Nambla to march freely in their gay pride parades
2) because Nambla presents itself as a gay organization on its website making the assertion that they are furthering the rights of gays.
3)Because enough people have personal experiences with homosexuals molesting them as children to offset the propaganda that " No gay molests children" and they spread the word.
