i am interested in applying to a couple of schools including u notre dame and uva, but they don't accept the common application and it seems like a lot of extra work expecially for uva....if you have attended these schools, is the extra work worth it? should i still apply?...thank you

It's always worth it to apply to another school that you want to go to, even if you have to fill out another application. I applied to 4 UCs, Stanford, NYU, and Columbia, which was 4 separate applications. Just make sure you are really interested in the school, otherwise you won't be motivated to do a good job on your application.

absolutley! The worst they can say is no, you didn't get in and yes it is disappointing, but you can over come it. If you do get in, you will be in one of the best schools in the nation, it is well worth any and all of the extra work that may be required to get in and stay in. I wish you the best of luck.
Besides that you will have the honor to say that you graduated from U of Notre Dame or UVA. This would be an amazing accomplishment.
Good Luck!
