Aside from when you've visited Religion & Spirituality where you may have been brutally attacked for what you believe in, in real life, did anyone ever try to convert you?

Yes I converted from Christianity to Buddhism many years ago. I could just not reconcile what are key tenants of Christianity with what I truly believed in my mind and heart. There is no point lying to yourself. I was without knowing having thoughts that followed closely with Buddhism. I met a Buddhist monk while visiting a temple in the north of Thailand purely as a tourist. We had a good talk and just said to me finally that it might be a idea if I looked at Buddhist beliefs and to make up my own mind. He was right and I have never regretted it as I am a much better person than I was before.

Yes, my ex boss tried to convert me to Jehovas witness, did you notice I said ex boss ? I knew you did. I just think religion has simply divided people for ages and is one of the biggest causes for wars, so I have my faith and that is all I need.

I am a convert into islam, not because muslims preached to me, but listning to the quran the first time immediately made it into my heart.
My family try to convert me back and preach christianity. 2 of my uncles are priests and I have had them and other people trying to quote and quote "knock some sense into me"

I have not found a bit of intelligent argument in what they tell me. The anti muslim things they have to say just makes me laugh., like how dirty we are and that a man can marry more than one woman in islam. Have they not read the bible and known that prophet abraham (pbuh) had two wives?
If God was so against it, why would he allow a prophet (amongst the best of men) marry more than one wife?

Yes, JW's, LDS's, Pentecostal, and Buddhists. Jesus loved and led people. He didn't try to shout them down. My Mom knew her Bible so well that she would always turn to it and point out this and that to the JW"s and they would retreat as she followed them to the car. I do admire them because they are faithful to their belief system and go two by two to witness. You can always tell the Mormon boys as they are so nicely dressed and ride the same type of bikes. Some people are quite lovable. Mmm
