Just got done with Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur. Now it's time for the week-long celebration of Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles) which is making a temporary shelter outside and living in it for a week to commemorate the years the Hebrews spent wandering in the wilderness.

We decorate with autumnal themes and must make sure we can see the stars through the roof at night. It's a week of parties and visiting and REALLY festive in Israel.

(I guess everybody's got some sort of Mabon-like festivity going at harvesttime and the equinox is a tough time, saying goodbye to summer, so we need to cheer ourselves up, don't we?

Party on!

Why thank you. We started celebrating Mabon Friday. We figured since everyone was going to be here we may as well do it for two days. We didn't do anything great. We baked some and just basically enjoyed the weather. It was nice. Sorry, I just notice I was rambling. I hope you had a good day with the family. Blessed Be

I am going to try some of those recipes in the Wiccan bible and try not to burn my house down. I plan on having a few friends over and conducting black mass for the first time. There will be punch and dancing, so it's not all so serious. I too enjoy autumn and winter.

We celebrated last night. One of the coveners is 2 weeks from her due date so we had a belly blessing. Then it was time for some wassail, oatmeal cookies, pumpkin bread, and other goodies.

Enjoy your Mabon!

Autumn Equinox is my favorite too - this is typically a wonderful time of year for me to grow. And this year I have really big plans :)

Me and my family are gonna have a little dinner, and I might try to do a spell or two. :)
my wiccan buddies are in NJ so I can't do a circle, but I'll call them.

Merry Mabon
