Funny how eight years ago, the "tanking dollar" didn't exist.
Guess that's what happens when you cozy up to your defense-military industrial complex buddies eh?
For the price of one MONTH of being at "war" with Iraq, we could provide health insurance for every man woman and child in this country.
Instead we are providing health insurance to people who don't even WANT us there.

They just want to keep the people dumbed down and misinformed about real issues, so they can live day-to-day without a care in the world. But reality will hit, less to those already on board. More to the ones who watch American Idol. Ron Paul is the key to turn off the military industrial complex. A way for change. Small Govt. and back to Constitutional rule.

Yes, the Democrats are as much hypocrites as most other politicians.
But even if we do elect someone who promises to end the Iraq occupation -- and seeks to do so immediately upon taking office -- it would still be at least a year before the bulk of US forces could be safely withdrawn.
So, would that still count as being hypocritical?

the reason nothing has happened to end the war is the now over 50 filibusters that the REPUBLICANS have resorted to in order to basically stop the congress from doing anything on behalf of the people.
as bad as the dems are, the alternative is now unthinkable.
i will never vote republican again - ever!

Of course, it will continue. Remember, the same Dem leaders who oppose the Iraq War today or the same ones to give President Bush the go-ahead back in 2003.
Very same ones.

Well, traditionally, war is great for the economy, so I wouldn't use that as a battle cry if I were you. Democrats have had control of Congress and have done NOTHING productive. Yes, American participation in the stabilization of Iraq will continue, partially because we have invested so much into the effort to date, but entirely because it is necessary for us to preserve the American way of life for our future generations. Would someone please give liberals a clue.

I'm with you! They are unable to take a problem, figure out what needs to be done, and then actually do it! To avoid this they go into a blame game. I can almost imagine the scenerio now!

Of course it will continue and most of the dems know it, they just pander to the Neo-Fondas out there because every vote counts.
