that King Farouk TV Series changed the whole idea we got about the king and the royal family ???? the Free Officers Movement wanted to erase this part of our history !! i dont think that Farouk was bad we have been brain washed ...

I think so RedWine,
My grandpa who dies 7 ys ago at 80 or even more , lived all the decades and he assumed that the king's era was the best .
He hated all our presidents especially Nasser and said they all ruined the country!
I believe he is right...............

محمد علي الدخاخني الجندي البسيط الذي لم يتحدث اللغه العربيه قط, أنشأ دوله مصر الحديثه, و ادخل زراعه القطن في مصر, بل اصبحت مصر في عهده تهدد الدوله العثمانيه باسطولها القوي الذي كان يعد اقوي اسطول في العالم آنذاك

First, it's nice to see your questions again and we miss you.
In my opinion king Farouk was not a very bad king, but he didn't deserve to be a ruler to this great country. Although the military people tried to make his image worse than reality, but there are few facts about his attitude and his interests that is recorded in books by neutral writers. Also there are photos and many artists and people use to meet him in parties and clubs.
The character of Bully or Pully for example was a true half Italian man who use to entertain the king by getting the most beautiful ladies to the palace and organise all kind of events which was not suitable for a serious king of a country under occupation.
Only one thing can't be denied, that he loved Egypt and he wished it was better. I always say it's not enough to love it, you should be capable to make it really better.
I didn't watch this TV serial. I watched and read books about the same topic.

I haven't seen the series but I heard they're giving the audience a very bad image of Queen Nazly (Wafaa Amer). Although it might be true that she might have had a lot of romantic and sexual adventures with men, such things corrupt the image of Egypt and it is being viewed all around the world. There are great things in the Egyptian history during this era which they should have concentrated on more. I'm starting to think that I should be watching this series, it seems good.

Anything, that is History should be kept and studied. Someday questions will be asked: Where did King Farouk go wrong and why? What should he have done?
Our children and their children that study history will want to research the entire, ENTIRE History of EGYPT.

I have not seen the series you are talking about. I don't need to see it to know that a lot of what is written as history is fake and a bunch of lies. We are being fed lies and brain washed every day, which is why I hardly trust anything I read in the papers or see in the media anymore.
