It depends on how it he/she is. If the baby is 3 or 4 years old then time outs could possibly work. But do not leave them in the corner for more than 1 minute for each year of their age. Example: 3 years old would equal 3 minutes. This seems like an eternity for a 3 year old. When the time out is finished, you need to try to help the child understand why they went into the time out to begin with. Don't make the explanations very complex, but try to get it to a level they can understand, and get an apology.

Before her nose job, I'd never put Baby in the corner. But now I don't think I could even pick Baby out of a lineup.
