I am having trouble to get the port forwarding working on my buffalo airstation WHR-HP-G54. I followed the instructions and enabled NAT and configured the ports. But it didn't seem to work. When I look into the log file, it says that the connection to the port that was configured to forward was denied by the firewall. I can't seem to find the menu to configure the firewall to allow that port. What should I do?

Thanks

You should log in to the router and setup the firewall to allow these ports!
http://www.buffalotech.com/support/downloads/wireless-g-mimo-performance-broadband-router-and-access-point-with-high-gain-antenna/
has the owners manual.

Basically click on the Firewall/Intrusion Detector tab and set the basic rules. These are on page 19 of the manual. You can also set advanced rules from the ADVANCED menu.

Since I don't know what ports and what protocols or games you need that is about as much help as I can give you.
Check page 38 of the manual for advanced intrusion setup.

You also need to open these ports ON YOUR COMPUTERS firewall or it will block the connection as well!!!

linksys is a more popoular brand. If you won one of each why not rey one for a month or so, then swap and try the other and see if you notice any differences.
