I'm 19 years old and have always had regular periods. In June I was a few days late, in July I was about a week late. No reason at all. About 2 days after that period ended a condom broke so I took plan b. I got my period a week early after that. That was my August period. This month, September I was a week late again. Since all the latenesses, I took hpt's and have even been to a planned parenthood. They were all negative obviously, I got my period eventually every month. My last period was on September 10th. So not pregnancy, just late periods. However, every once in a while I have stomach pains, and kind of like side pains, lower side pains. It could be a stomach ache I guess, but it feels kind of weird. But what would make periods late, or cycle changes? Do you think I could have an infection or something. Please be kind.

Some women just never get regular! That makes it tough to get pregnant, but not tough to prevent it! Use a condom EVERY TIME!!

Even though you're 19, your hormones are still working overtime. With the stomach pains and irregular periods, your body could STILL be regulating itself. I don't think you have an infection. If you did, you'll know it!! (Burning peeing, blood in urine, etc. etc.)

Stop stressing , and just be careful. :)

well pregnancy is ruled out ....

you did take plan B so that may have messed with your hormone system a bit which would account for your messed up cycle

i am on birth control and for a whole year my cycle was effed up some months i would get a period some months i wouldent , these pills have a huge effect on our bodies inner systems...

there are also alot of other things that throw your menstral cycle off balance ... stress , weight gain , activity level ,

i wouldent worry too much if your still concerned call 311 and find out about free or low cost clinics in your area ... when i got on birth control i didnt have insurance and i was financially limited i fould a gynocologist in my area that provided me with a through check up and a 2 month supply of birth control for 90 dollars .... so it is possible to find low cost health care .... also talk to the people at plan parent hood they will have some good advice and some pamphlets you can go through i hope this helps my dear,

Take care =)
