well a few years back i remember eb saying they were going to be connected with gamestop so 1 of my questions is are they together now and if they are well i pre ordered halo 3 at gamestop and sisters friend ordered his at eb and they are picking it up at midnight so they might pick up my order to if eb and gamestop are connected so if i pre ordered at gamestop can he pick it up 4 me at eb well thanks

Gamestop bougth EB and now they are in the same family.
You won't be able to pick up your pre-order at another store because when you pre-order the game, the store will receive your pre-order at that location only. Blame Gamestop for only shipping enough units to fill pre-orders.

Both EBGames and GameStop are now owned by the same company, yes. However, the two have not integrated their systems to allow a cross-over between the two stores, at least as far as I know.

So to answer your question, no.

Dude, it wouldn't matter if they were partnered(which they are) or not. If you preorder a game from one store, you get it at that store. You see, when you get a reciept from the order, they ( that store ) have a copy of it. Sometimes it is embedded in the buisness's computer, sometimes it is not. Point is, get it at the store you ordered from.
