No one cares because their only concern is their hair, the latest fashions, Hollywood, if they will get laid...It's a superficial society.
And, people are just dumber. They voted for Bush twice. I yelled to the television, "Aren't you people listening to the news?" Same story today.

people seem to be more interested in american idol than current events. most people dont even know that under article 2 section 3 of the constitution that the president can adjourn congress for a time that he sees fit.

That is called "National Emergency" and "Martial Law". And just like how all the left wingers are worried about Bush doing it in 2008, us right wingers were worried about Clinton doing it in 2000.
Unlike Clinton though...Bush has no friends in foreign nations to give him a reason to declare martial law. Clinton did have friends...with nuclear weapons...

Yes, that's what it says.
It's also arguably unconstitutional, and probably cannot be enforced if Bush attempted to use it.
But until he does try to implement and enforce it, there is nothing that anyone can do about it -- until then, it has no effect.
