Salad?

Sherri: Where do you get your info. The fries and burgers are frozen, not kept on a shelf in the storeroom! How long do you keep food in your freezer? A lot longer than 3 months I'm sure! The salads are healthy. The grilled chicken is cooked with only a couple of spritzes of a Trans-fat free butter spray just to keep it from sticking to the grill, and the grill is cleaned between cooking burgers and the chicken. The Asian salads is 10 points on the Weight Watcher's points diet. The Premium Chicken sandwiches are on whole wheat buns, and the mayo, while not the general public is aware, but we do use a light mayo.
OMG I cannot believe all the misinformation people are spouting on here! The salads DO NOT have sugar in them. GEEZ. We DO have low and fat free dressings. There is actually very little cheese on them. The salads do not automatically come with the crispy chicken. The customers are always asked which they would prefer. We offer Minute Maid lemonade that has only 5 grams of sugar. We do not have pamplets anymore. The staple menu items are listed on the backs of the tray liners and for the newer menu items you can access the info from the website.

I think that the salad is the healthiest meal on McDonalds' menu.

Stay away from the salads. I know those are awful for you at least what they are offering, unless you are willing to specially order one with grilled chicken instead of the fried breaded, minus the cheeses, and ask for the low calorie and fat dressing. I have also noticed the dressing portions are way over what I would need for a salad. Try the yogurt parfait. It's on the the $1 menu, is nice sized, delicious and only 100 calories. Ask for a nutrition pamphlet before ordering your meal, and then decide what's worth it. Good luck with your diet!

Contrary to what people think, the salad is definetly not healthy. It's actaully worse than a cheese burger. The only idea I have for you is every once in awhile go on a fast food splurge, have your favorite thing from MD. But only once in awhile.

the healthist thing nothing. I think that what u love is the food not the service or atmosphere. so if your on a diet stay clear of mcdonalds.Even the salads are extremely unhealthy. Take it from someone who is much healthier now that fast food has been cut from the there diet.

Grilled Chicken Meal:
-Grilled chicken, no mayo, extra veggies
-side salad instead of fries with a low fat dressing
-diet coke or water

Salads are ok too, but make sure you get them with grilled chicken and low fat dressing. A ranch or caesar salad with regular dressing and crispy chicken is about as bad as a big mac!!!

Bottle Water. $1 value menu.
If your budget is low and you need your calorie fix for the day I suggest the wraps. Then for the calcium the small shake or the McFlury.

Caesar salad with grilled chicken, 220 calories, zero trans fat. The caesar dressing though would add 190 calories on top of that, whereas the low fat balsamic vinaigrette only has 40 calories, or the low fat italian has 60. The Fruit and yogurt parfait is made with low fat milk and has 160 calories.
