I just purchased a d-link wbr 2310 router to share the internet connection on my desktop to my laptop. both computers can now connect to the internet no problem. however, i noticed that when i try downloading big files (50 MB up) the download never finishes and stays at around 50%. One time it only downloaded 4%. I was able to finish downloading a 20 MB file but that was the biggest file i could download. I thought this was only on the laptop but the same thing also happened to my desktop. This has never happened before i installed the router so something must be wrong with my setting or setup. router firmware is updated but it didn't help. Any ideas on this?. Thank you.

Hi,

Log into the routers settings.

Under the advanced tab select advanced Netork and make sure the "Enable Multicast Stream" is enabled.

Also make sure the WAN port speed is set to auto.

Thats about all it could be besides faulty firmware.
