If she's going to get a simple kid phone, then try the Firefly, or the LG Migo. If she wants a normal phone, try the LG VX8300. It's durable and it is "Chaperone" capable, meaning that her parents can see where she is at any time. I have that phone andn I've dropped it a billion times and it still works.
