Your Spanish is quite well written but you are meant to say I'm from Spain, instead of I'm from Spanish. Your punctuation is good though.
The most popular bands at the moment are indie rock bands such as Kaiser Chiefs, Arctic Monkeys, and Franz Ferdinand. Also, r and b and garage music is quite popular. It seems to be that nowadays in the UK English homegrown bands are more popular than American music.
People do listen to Shakira over here but I wouldn't say that she is massively popular. I think shes okay but indie rock bands are far more real and have a better sound than her. Does she write her own music?

not as famous as she is in the rest of the world. i used to live in the middle east and she was very big there 7 years ago, due to her arabic heritage. her songs are in spanish shes better known here now after her recent hit with Beyonce Beautiful liar. yes very well written i couldnt write that well in spanish.

shes fab..i love amost of her songs especially songs on her first album underneath your clothes, whenever wherever (her first english single i think) hips dont lie and other songs of her albums cant think of the names

she was really big a few years ago with whenever wherever then it died down a bit.
now she came back with hips dont lie and people seem to be liking her. its not really my thing but lots of my friends like her.

when she has a new song she does get big here but then she and her new song just start to disappear!

she's ok but she's a little bit 'tarty' and her songs are too shallow. I think she could do a lot better with some more depth so she was taken more seriously.
