I've gone two entire weeks without cutting, and I'm using the alternatives suggested in therapy,i.e snapping an elastic band, drawing on myself with red pen, etc. But right now I feel the urge BADLY and there's no one to talk to about it. I don't want to but yet at the same time I do. Will anyone take some time to just IM and give advice and distract me from this? Thank you so much.

Well done on the two weeks. That's 14 whole days that you've managed to redirect the urge to cut. Tell yourself that you will cope for ONE more day right now. Tomorrow tell your self the same thing. Before you know it you'll have coped for another week.

I don't know how fit you are otherwise, but what about putting on your coat & going for a brisk walk, to use up some of that energy & tension? Good luck

I am reading that you are cutting yourself, is that right? If you are and have been in therapy, then perhaps you should schedule an appointment as soon as possible with a psychologist or contact your local mental health association. Don't be hesitant to do this because it is for your best interest. Plus, it is nothing to be ashamed of. But, please for your sake, do one of the above and Good Luck.
