The book was better. The best novel I've ever read, the facts based around the novel are really mind blowing. The grail actually being Mary Madeleine, secrets message hidden within The Last Supper, and the Templar Knights. Everything was put together nicely, a great brilliant peice of work.

I thought the movie was a great adaptation of the book. Since the events of the book take place in the span of a couple of days, the movie looks as if it was filmed in real time. Not to mention that Tom Hanks makes a convincing Robert Langdon. Great use of location. Particularly since the message in the Da Vinci Code is pretty powerful, the film makes a great companion piece to the book.

I think I want to go to the cryptanalyst school where they teach you how to drive in reverse under a truck and dodge bullets!

I just don't understand where, after poring through all those ciphers and learning how to do her job, she found time to learn how to be a female James Bond.

That aside, though, it tried really hard to be Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, complete with Magneto trying to add the intellectual appeal Sean Connery lent to the other movie. It almost made it, but Tom Hanks and Action movie just don't belong together in the same sentence. Comedy, he can do. Heartwarming coming-of-age tale, he can do. But as far as action goes, he's a few steps below Tim Dalton.

I liked the book MUCH better. The movie left out quite a bit and changed some things that were rather important in the book.

Interesting! but still a blasphemy to Our Lord Jesus! it was a made up story no biggie. If a person doesnt know the Bible like they should, this movie will mislead those people.

I think it is a must see movie for christians so they know how to answer questions non believers and believers alike ask. I think it is off the mark but gives so reason to rethink why you think the way you do.
