Yes, I just love waking up in the morning to see the windows of a beautiful skyscraper in the city.. or a nice tall snowy mountain in the ski area..
The sensation of being elsewhere other then home for a chance really is fun.. and visiting places and learning about them is just great!
I love staring at the windows in hotels and trying to see beyond the area.. wondering if I could really travel all the corners in this world!
When I was around 6 and 7, I'd always collect those little hotel soap bars. I still do. I love them, they're like little white chocolate bars, and come in that special waxy cover papers.
My best experience was when we went around the country.. our side. Nevada, Colorado, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Idaho, Utah, and back to California! It wasn't so fancy and classy but it was the memory.. sure we just stayed in a Motel 8 mini hotel.. but we were travelling with another family at the time and it was just great! Fun and we all collect soap bars :)
I also loved the Atlantis near Lake Tahoe and the Walt Disney Resorts and their hotels.. Feel the magic :-)
But then of course, we always have to go home.. which isn't bad, because like that Ikea ad expressed, "Because whoever you are..or wherever you might be.. Home is the most important place in the world." :)

I love it too. I love getting the room really cold and sleeping in the big bed. It is so exciting. My best hotel experience was in Philadelphia, PA. I was on every floor and on every stairwell possible until the staff saw us on camera and tracked us down and told us we needed to go to the room. It was great though.

i used to, but i'm kind of over it now; i almost never sleep well in hotels. but my best experience was in an airport hotel in Osaka, which was totally cool because it's actually connected to the airport, and all you have to do is get up in the morning and walk right across the hall (practically) to your ticket counter! but frankly i think most of the cool hotel experiences i know of have been in movies, not my life. especially, the hotel in Lost in Translation.

NO! I love staying at home, sipping a snifter of cognac, and watching a good DVD.
