naturally my lips are chapped but i have this habit of constantly licking my lips so after a while i get this slick layer of skin over my lips and i always have to peel it off.... what wrong with my lips?

For starters, you're licking them which makes them even more chapped once that initial moisture from your periodic licking dries. Try chap stick instead. There's a medicated variety if they're also windburned (indentifiable by a light red ring around the rims of your lips that is sore to the touch). In a pinch a light coat of Vaseline (petroleum jelly) will do.

The best time to treat them is right after a shower when the skin is moist. Apply Vaseline or a little bit of lip med-ex "not chap stick" and try very hard to stop licking them.

You have a habit of licking your lips which makes them chap.Stop licking and the situation will clear up.Use a little beeswax on them to keep them moist.

stop from licking them, as this agitates it. even though saliva is one of the best healing things you can use, it doesn't heal it properly because of the bacteria and salt it contains. use vaseline (the best way to cure my chapped lips and i get it a lot.)

You could be dehydrated try drinking some water and see if it helps.Good luck!

stop licking them and instead of chapstick use vaseline
