If you are flying to Dublin then yes you will need a passport. But by boat you don't need to.

Take a train to Holyhead, then a ferry to Dublin. They didn't check our passports, and we're neither British nor Irish.

ire girl17 is right all you need is photographic I.D. driving license etc its all part of the U.K. so you are not leaving your own country if this was true you would need a passport to visit Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Depends which country issued your passport.

The UK is not a signatory to the Schengen agreement, so you may need it if you wish to return to England.

I suggest you check with your travel Agent. or check the Home Office web site.

not raell. but if you have a driving licences then you can take with you. but take with with just in case cos well you never that will happen.
