For the same reason we do not discuss the mass genocide and holocaust occurring in Darfur - there is no political or monetary gain for interceding there, and becuase those countries are able to contribute so little to the political and economic climate of the world that they are easily forgotten by the people who make decisions as to what is worth saving and what is not.

I personally find it despicable that the world governments are ignoring the atrocities of those regions becuase they fail to see the gain in saving lives, rather than oil.

becuz theres lots of oil in iraq and we figured itd be easier to get to. thats the only reason we invaded
