You are definitely right. It is SUPERMAN! Leave no doubt to that. He's better than Batman all the way. He has more power and I do think he has more charisma than Batman. Gotta admit, when I was a kid, I supported Batman because I thought he was really the only superhero without real superpowers. However, as I grew older, I began to see the differences between the main superheroes and after watching various stories about Superman especially Smallville, I began to empathise with Superman/Clark Kent. He has such enormous burden on his shoulder since young, protecting his family, friends and loved ones and he had to keep all those burdens to himself, never revealing to anyone. For me, that is the most amazing thing a man can do for humanity.
Allow me to quote something I will always remember Superman said from the movie, "Superman Returns":-
"Listen, can you hear that?" Superman asked Lois.
"I don't hear anything." Lois replied.
"I hear everything." Superman said.
Can we ever imagine the magnitude of Superman? How much he sacrificed for mankind? Therefore, I will always love Superman more than any other superhero.

Just to clarify, Batman can and would beat Superman in a fight. I'll explain.
Superman knows how powerful he is and he also knows that if he were to ever go rogue, for whatever reason, no one could physically stop him. Superman rarely uses his full power, even when fighting beings like Doomsday. The final punch that Superman hit Doomsday with shattered the windows in every building in a 10 city block radius. He knows he can't go flying around using that full power all of the time. However, if he for whatever reason became evil, he would use that power.
So that he could be stopped if he were ever to go rogue, he gave Batman a ring made of Kryptonite to use on Superman if the need ever arised. He gave it to Batman because Batman is the one person that he trusts and he knows that Batman would be the only one who could use it to take him down.

An essential characteristic of the superhero mythology is, there's the superhero, and there's the alter ego. Batman is actually Bruce Wayne, Spider-Man is actually Peter Parker. When he wakes up in the morning, he's Peter Parker. He has to put on a costume to become Spider-Man. And it is in that characteristic that Superman stands alone. Superman did not become Superman, Superman was born Superman. When Superman wakes up in the morning, he's Superman. His alter ego is Clark Kent. His outfit with the big red "S", that's the blanket he was wrapped in as a baby when the Kents found him. Those are his clothes. What Kent wears, the glasses, the business suit, that's the costume. That's the costume Superman wears to blend in with us.
My answer is Batman.

The answer is Batman and reason why can be explained from Frank Miller's "Dark Knight Returns". Batman is smarter than Superman in a fight. He relies on using his head in a battle. Take away the fancy gadgets, utility belt and whatever, he's still a force to be reckoned with.

SUPERMAN!! he can dodge bullets and bend steel, while Batman just fights with his sidekick, Robin and these "Pow!" "Bam!" captions pop up & takes more time to take down the bad guys.I like Batman's uniform better because it shows his 6-pack abs.Superman's leotard tights is not that hot.
Superman can handle it on his own and doesn't need a side-kick to watch his back.
