of what a dictatorship really is? Have they lived in Cuba, or Iraq under Hussein? Or are they just whiners?

No, they do *not* have a clue and yes, they are most certainly spoiled little whiners.

I've offered more than one person airfare to Venezuela, and dared them to post anti-Chavez crap over *there* - but gee, no one has taken me up on that offer...what a surprise. That shows that they're not nearly as stupid as they make themselves out to be.

Nobody has said that the Bush Junta is a 'dictatorship'....not that it wouldn't be if given half a chance. Only action by the hated 'liberals', your strawman enemy has kept these bums from going that far. The people that pull the Stooge-in Chief's strings are not adverse to molding the world to their image even if it means shredding the constitution. The trans-national corporations don't want to be restricted in their drive for profit...particularly the Oil Mafia. Certainly the Jesus freak right is willing to bend the restriction of the Constitution to enhance their political position....after all, what's more important, living with constitutional restrictions or 'christianizing' the world so Jesus can return? Let's be real....the Homeland Security Gestapo can now legally go through your underwear drawer without a warrant....the 4th amendment? Who cares what a bunch of 18th century wig wearers had in mind? We didn't seem to need such a thing when the Russians were coming, but now we do? Worse, you can't get a warrant within 72 hours 'after' a warrantless search? You don't need no stinkin' paper trail? Just let the 'government' make up its own rules? No, bro....it isn't 'whining', it's standing up for the land of the free and the home of the brave. Bush should be impeached for what he's allowed to happen. No kiddin'!

They have no clue, nor do they want to have a clue. Due to living in protected shelter all their lives they are completely out of touch with the reality of the world situation. As has been proven by testing in school they are very low on the knowledge scale, but high in self esteem. The American young are truly intellectual lightweights compared with some others in the world.

no, they do not have a clue, and yes they are just whiners.

Saddam Hussein was a dictator.
Fidel Castro IS a dictator.
Stalin was a dictator.
Hillery, Omabma, and John F-ing Kerry are wannabe dictators. (For Our Own Good, they say...)

Worse than whiner!!! And those who compare everything about the Bush adm. to Hitler is unspeakable!! Evidently people have got it to good in the US and have lost their ablity to be appreciative. I'd like to send every one of them back in time under Hitler or to any other dicatorship past or present and let them learn how good they really do have it!! It's incredible that they obviously haven't any knowledge what it's really all about!

Well Dan W....I have to say they are just whiners. If we had a real dictatorship, this little game would be gone, or at least most of its participants would never be heard from again.

Neither..

And no, the current Bush regime is not yet a dicatorship -- but it shows every indication of heading in that direction, and having that goal.

So, the question is -- given the blatant abuses of power that many people see and object to (whether you agree with them or not) -- do you think they should wait until it has become what they think it might? Or try to stop it before it gets there?

Put it into your perspective -- if you saw the country turning into a socialist welfare state (assuming that is something you would oppose) -- do you act before it happens, based on where you think it's heading? Or wait until the laws have been passed already, and then try to change them after the fact?

There are plenty of people who have lived under dictatorships who say Bush is pushing the envelope when it comes to being a dictator.

Some of them being survivors of Hitler or Pinochet's regimes along with survivors of other dictatorships.

Bush isn't a dictator, but he is acting like one.
