im sorry its the caliper seal that pushes the brakes together the seal on that came off

you need to put it back on ,because it will cause problems, moisture will get to the piston and cause it to seize up,and the brakes wont work right at all,that's called a dust boot,and it need put back on it real bad other wise you,ll have problems later on from it especially in the winter time when it gets cooler weather,good luck with it.

Depends on which seal , if its the one on the lid fluid can leak out causing you to lose your brakes. If its around the part that bolts to the firewall this is a dust shield, while not immediately harmful it will cause premature failure of the master cylinder.

It can let dirt and moisture in. Dirt and moisture are not good.
Check at a Junk Yard and then a Parts Store. May be a Dealer item.

put it back on! unless it's in bad shape, then go get a new one, it's better then having a bigger problem in the near future!
