Actualy you can keep guppies in a 2.5 gal, a 5 gal is better but a 2.5 gal will work. I would only keep three at the most in the 2.5 though and I would suggest having one male with two females rather than three males as the males do become aggressive with each other with out the company of females and if there are too little amount of females to males the females will be harrassed constantly.

Guppies are one of the most adaptable freshwater fish I have ever known. Ideally bigger tanks are better for any fish but guppies are amazingly tolerable and do just fine in smaller tanks. They are not terribly picky about pH and hardness etc. either and do great with some aquarium salt in the tank.

No. You need a bigger tank than that for ANY fish, period. Even though guppies get to be only 1.5-2 inches, they need tankmates of the same species since they are schooling fish. Putting more than one guppy in the tank will be too many for that sized tank, and keeping one guppy alone will stress the guppy because it can't school. A 2.5 gallon tank is even too small for a betta, as they should have at least 5 gallons of water. If you want to put something in the 2.5 gallon tank, get some snails. Other than that, you cannot safely keep any species of fish in there.

yes u can. guppies are one of the easiest fish kind to have as pet. they do not require as much attention nor care as other fishes do.

u dont even need air bump or anything. and dont change the water so much. take out 25% of the old water and add in about the same amount of new fresh water weekly, that would be more than enough.

personal experience. maybe most of the people wont agree with me, but that is because they take so much care of their guppies, they think that if they dont, their guppy will die, which is not true. that's just the way i keep my guppies, and they've been happy!

wish u luck

go with a 5 gallon tank if you haven't gotten the tank yet. really go bigger than that if you are unsure. my best advice is really get the biggest tank you can afford and have a place to keep.

No. You could only keep 1 guppy in there and that would still be too small and kindof cruel it would make him unhappy and more suseptible to diseases. You can keep them in a tank like 10 gallons they would be VERY happy there. Always remember 1 inch of fish per gallon of water! Guppies grow to 2.5" so the 2.5 gallon is a NoNo. sorry. You cant put a betta in there because they grow to 3 inches and it would only stunt their growth like i already said. You could raise freshwater shrimp in there, snails, frogs, crabs. Things small like those. If you need anything else you can email me! good luck :]

I would think it's possible. You might be better off going for a betta instead of three male guppies.

You can keep as many of any kind of fish as you can fit. That doesn't mean it's feasible.

I don't recommend it.
